Daniel Reichman presentation
Figure 1: My talk about artificial intelligence for landmine detection at the SPIE Defense and Security conference, May 2014
I am Daniel Reichman, a data scientist with interest in applying my knowledge to real-world problems. I currently live in Durham, North Carolina, where I am a Research Scientist at Duke University applying artificial intelligence methods to landmine detection under a US army grant at the Applied Machine Learning Lab.

I obtained my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Duke in 2017. Before that, I obtained my Bachelor's and Master's of engineering at The Cooper Union in New York City, both in May of 2013. There I was a graduate fellow at the Center for Signal Processing, Communications and Computer Engineering Research (S*ProCom²) researching image segmentation as my master's research.
After my first year at Cooper Union I passed the first two actuarial exams and later worked at New York Life Insurance Company as an actuarial intern.

I am consistently engaged in side projects for personal fun and for my professional development for the day I finish at Duke. If you have an interesting project for me involving some math, coding, and creative thinking I'd be most enthusiastic to hear from you.
